Sunday Online Workshops Continue

Earlier this month, I set an intention to make my “online writing workshops and private coaching sessions as open and honest as my in-person offerings.”

Transitioning my monthly class at The Astoria Bookshop to a weekly online offering added a bright light to my Sundays. I’ve loved reconnecting with regulars and meeting new writers. We even added a second session to honor my goal by keeping class sizes small.

If you would like to join us at 3 or 5 pm today (2 spots left in each class!) or be added to my newsletter to receive info on future sessions, contact kjfitzsimmons@gmail.com.

SUPPORT The Astoria Bookshop every day by purchasing books through their Bookshop page or preordering titles/buying gift certificates directly at astoriabookshop.com.

Online Writing Workshops Available

Great first sessions for two new online creative writing workshops this past Sunday and Tuesday!

Workshops for adults will be held every Sunday. I’m limiting class size so that the session can be more interactive. Email me today at kjfitzsimmons@gmail.com for more information, to sign up, or be added to my newsletter to receive information about future sessions.

I also do private writing coaching/tutoring for individual students or small groups (2-3). Reach out if you’d like more info on anything

Testimonial

These lovely words from a former student couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Like many, I’ve lost many upcoming gigs and am not certain what my future holds.

If you hear of any opportunities for freelance or full-time work, please keep me in mind!

Precious Postponed

Yes, our No, YOU Tell It! “Precious” show at Sunnyside Plays was canceled in support of the call for social distancing.

Yes, it’s a bummer after all the work we put in, but I am confident we will tell these stories when the time is right.

BUT, I was so moved by the rallying messages of support our storytellers sent to each other. What a privilege to help people share in their stories and make new artistic connections. If you’d like to help out our series in this tenuous time, here are two ways:

1. LISTEN to one or many of No, YOU Tell It!’s 52 podcast episodes featuring live story swaps (available on iTunes, Apple Podcast, AudioBoom, Spotify) and TELL A FRIEND!

2. Make a tax-deductible donation through our fiscal sponsor The Field. Click here for more info and to donate today!
